Dumbing Down

This time US TV executives are dumbing down Downton Abbey series because they say the plot is too intricate. How disgusting of them to presume so. They do it in books and now TV.

I feel sorry for the American audiences because this show is excellent. I loved every minute of it. I bought the box set and can’t wait for the 2nd series.

They are apparently removing the entail plotline as it won't make sense to most Americans! As Jen Black says on her hilarious post on this subject,[http://jenblackauthor.blogspot.com/] not many of us have had to decipher the intricacies of one either!

I regard it as an insult to American viewers to assume they won't be able to keep up - those likely to watch the series aren't the same people who watch 'Iron Man' [hands up who watched both-me included!]

Has this been on TV here? I have been hearing so much about it that I have been keeping an eye out for it on our TV schedules. Don't tell me I have missed it already!
