I remember once having to fight back the tears when I passed my grandparents home [my father had left it untouched when my gran passed away for 3 years.] Anyhow, I was passing this particular day and I saw an open topped lorry parked outside with their furniture on top of it.

I had no idea my father had got around to clearing things out. Then to cap it all, quarter of an hour later when I arrived at the bus station to take a second bus to my writing class, I saw the same lorry with the furniture on passing again before my eyes.

It was almost as though I was meant to see it somehow. Afterwards I found it helped to write a poem about it called, 'Life On the Back of a Lorry.'

Writing is very therapeutic as you already know. I used to run an online class on the topic.

Here's hoping you get into the Christmas spirit soon and that your Dad makes a good recovery. :)

Hugs,

LynetteLynettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15676683696180035751noreply@blogger.com
