Happy Australia Day!

To my fellow Aussies I wish you a wonderful Australia Day, full of good health and happy families.
I'm spending the day in a very traditional way. This morning I'm going to Berrima, a local historical town, which has a lovely celebration on, including market stalls, bands, rides for the children, bbqs, antique and specialty shops and a parade.

Then, after lunch, I'm watching my husband and son play in their cricket team.

Thanks Anne for the link to my blog. I do appreciate it. Hope you have had a super Australia Day. Ours was truly fun with family, shared outdoor meals, and even a river trip in our boat, swimming and walking on the beach. Great stuff!!

Happy Australia Day weekend, Anne.
Berrima is a lovely place to gather on public holidays. My family attended a huge Australia Day breakfast on the coast. Then at 9pm we watched beautiful fireworks rising above the houses for about 15 minutes while standing out the front with neighbours in our street. That was an unexpected treat. It's lovely when the council makes a special effort to include everyone.
